Hate is spoiled

One day in one of school in Indonesia there is a teacher by the name Mr Jo. He talks to his students, “Hi my students, today we will make a game. And this game will be very useful for us, especially for all of you. You know what is that ? Well, we called that as a life game.”

“What is that Mr Jo, could you tell me a little bit ?”, said Adira.

“Of course I’ll tell to all of you, but it’s one week after we do the game. Mr hopes all of you will be patient to wait explanation about the purpose this game.”

“Oh ok Mr, we’ll wait it”, Said Geo the other student in the school.

“Ok everybody, you have to prepare yourself because it’ll start tomorrow.”

All of students say, “Yes Mr.”

“Well, tomorrow all of you have to bring an apple. And before you put it in a plastic you have to write someone’s name on you’re an apple. Then, you have to bring your plastic wherever you’ll go”

“Sorry Mr Jo, I have many people that I hate. They are five people. So, may I bring five apples also ?” said Agatha.

“Yeah it’s never mind, it depends on you, Aghatha”.

After that, there are many students that want to bring more than one apple because there are many that they hate. Aghata as example, she has five people that she is dislike. Adira and Geo, each of them have two people that they hate and the other students also.

One week it still needs three days again but they begin to fell unwell because of their apples have been spoiled. And it is very bother them, because they have to bring it wherever they go. Day by day their apples’ smells more and more unpleasant. And they are really hate these smells.

Finally one week come and Mr Jo talk to his students, “Well my beloved students one week have finished, and for one week all of you bring the apple until it became spoiled. I believe all of you don’t like with your apples’ smells”.

 “Yes Mr, these apple very bother us”, said Aghata.

“Okey, that’s why I want to all of you do this game because it has purpose. It gives positive energy for us. Especially for us that keep our hate with the other. And specifically if we keep our hate until the end, we can think it. Day by day our hate will be more and more spoiled. Hence from that, let’s don’t keep it our hate”.

All of students said that,” Yes Mr Jo, thanks so much for today.”

”Don’t keep our hate although someone make us angry, sad or disappointed, forgive them and try to be the best as you can because life is not to hate but to love each other.”

Don't Judge a Book from the Cover

Tudey is a good man. He is a handsome and rich man. He feels that he is a perfect man so he believes one day God will give him a perfect woman also. So that is why he decides to go around the world to find his woman. Then, he arrives in a city. In there, he meets with an old man that has three children. His name is sir Jack and the name of his children is Hierra, Riessa and Ficha.

One day he meets again with sir Jack and he said that he wants to marry with his child but he is still confuse which is a good woman and perfect between three of them. Sir Jack says, “I do not know, but I suggest to you to invite my children one by one to go to around this city”. And the result he wants to do it because he really wants to know the good one.

The first day, Tudey goes to the beach with the first child Hierra. They are very happy and there are many that they talk in there until they do not know time is up because afternoon has arrived. But, after he arrives in sir jack’s house he talks to him. Hierra is a good woman. She is beautiful, not arrogant and helpful. Tudey said that he can saw it from everything that have we done but there is a small thing that I’m dislike. She is not a perfect woman because she has a small thumb on her right hand and a big thumb on her left hand.

The second day, Tudey invites the second child from Sir Jack. Her name is Riessa. She is a cute woman and beautiful. But she is a crybaby and he is dislike with her attitude. Hence from that he says to sir Jack,”I’m sorry sir, I think your second child is not perfect also”.

The third day, a man that has a name Tudey invites Ficha as the last child from sir jack to go to around the river in her city. And he really hopes she will be a perfect woman that he wants finding. And Ficha is a beautiful woman the same with her sisters. Then she has a good attitude. She is not arrogant and really like help each other. They spend their time in the river, and they back to Ficha’s house until the night because they are very happy and forget about the time. And arrive in house Tudey says to Sir Jack, “Sir, I’m really like with your third child. I believe she will can make me happy in all day. So that is why I say I like her, she is a perfect woman and I want to marry with her”.

Day by day always run well, Tudey and Ficha have married and they will have a child. They are really happy, and very romantic. Tudey hopes by a child, it will make their life be more perfect because one of criteria that show a perfect life in a family is when we have a child. Then, their dreams become true. They have a child, she is a woman. But Tudey is dislike with their child because their child is not beautiful and be a perfect woman like him and his wife.

Therefore, Tudey comes to his father sir Jack. And ask to him, “Father...can you say why our child is not beautiful? As you can see we are perfect, I’m a handsome man and my wife Ficha is a beautiful woman. Could you tell me why father?”. “Well Tudey, actually Ficha has a small thing that make her became not perfect. You have to know, before you marry with her she has been pregnant. Sorry, I’m just telling you now because used to when I want to tell you about it but you always said that she is a perfect woman and you are really want to marry with her”, Said Jack regretfully.

 “A true perfect cannot we see by using our eyes but just our heart that can see it. It means that does not judge a book from his cover, receive someone’s lack and if you do it, believe..you will get special something and the other way if you just see someone’s perfect from his cover you have to believe long or fast you will get a disappointed.”

Go away from HIV AIDS and don't ever leave ODHA"

Today is the first day of Desember 2014, I mean that today is HIV AIDS day. It’s a virus that very dangerous for us, because there is no medicine for this virus especially for in ther ight now. We aren’t surprise if this virus always develops around the world eventhough alamost every year this virus always  increases. So that’s why let’s go away from HIV AIDS and say no to go away from people that infected or ODHA.

HIV AIDS is a virus that weaken our nerve. And it’s from an animal, we called that a monkey. Then tehre is a tourist that bring it to Indonesia, I mean here is Bali. Until this virus always develops arround in arround this country.

This virus is very easy to spread, by our blood, our mouth, free sex and etc. So from that, don’t say this virus is a simple virus because this virus there is no for medicine. Therefore this virus is very dangerous for us, but we don’t go away from  them, people that infected by this virus. Can I say why ? Because they really need us to make them spirit and to make them never give up. So that’s why I say we don’t go away from them. Then, we have to give them support, and give poitive energy for them.

Let’s spread this written, and hopefully it’ll be very useful. Just no for the right now but for future also…for ODHA and for every people that stay in this beautiful world, let’s go away from this virus but don’t go away from ODHA, cause they need us to make them be strong and patient to through their days…never give up, fix mistakes, and always keep stepping, have a nice day.

Tabot is a great tradition in Bengkulu

Bengkulu is a beautiful city in sumatera. It is a province but we realize that bengkulu is a growing province. Can I say why ? Bencause, beside has many great tourism places Bengkulu has also amazing tradition. It we called that as Tabot.

Tabot is a part of Bengkulu people tradition to memorize the tragical event of the death of the grandson of the prophet Muhammad PBUH, Husein bin Ali Bin Abi Thalib, in the battle versus the troop of ‘Ubaidillah bin Zain in Karbala, Iraq, on 10 Muharam. This ritual is held for about 10 days, every Muharram first to tenth. Therefore, at the beginning, the core of the ritual Tabot is to memorize the attempt of a Syi‘ah leader and his followers in collecting the part of Husein‘s cutting body, to accompany the procession and to burry him in savannah of Karbala.

The word of Tabot is derived from an Arabic word tabut, which literally means “wooden box” or “case”. In Quran the word of Tabot is known as a case containing the Book of Taurat. Israeli at that time believed that they would get the virtuous if the Tabot appeared in the hand of their leader. Contrarily, they would get disaster if the staff loosed.

There is no written proof since the ritual of Tabot began to be known in Bengkulu. However, it is strongly assumed that the tradition which start from the mourn ritual of Syi‘ism follower was brought by the skilled laborers building Marlborought Fort in Bengkulu. The skilled laborers were taken here by England from Madras and Bengali, south of India who were also the follower of Syi‘ah.

The workers, who are appropriate with Bengkulu People‘s way of life, led by Imam Senggolo or Syekh Burhanuddin, decided to live and build a new settlement called Berkas, currently known as Kelurahan Tengah Padang. The tradition coming from Madras and Bengali was bequeathed to their descendant who has made assimilation with original Bengkulu people and produce the descendant known as Sipai people.

The mourn tradition taken from the country made assimilation and acculturation with the Bengkulu people culture, and then was bequeathed and institutionalized become what then is known as Tabot ritual. This Tabot ritual is more and more extent from Bengkulu to Painan, Padang, Pariaman, Maninjau, Pidie, Banda Aceh, Meulaboh, and Singkil. But furtherly the Tabot ritual activities disappeared in many places. Finally, it was just remained in two places, in Bengkulu known as Tabot and in Pariaman Sumbar known as Tabuik. Both is similar, but the way of performing is rather different.

If Tabot ritual (Tabuik) is used by Syi‘ah people at the beginning to memorize the death of Husein bin Ali bin Abi Thalib, the ritual is performed only for the duty of family to fulfill the message of their forefathers since the people of Sipai free from the effect of the doctrines of Syi‘ah. Recently, since a recent decade, besides performing the message of forefathers, this ritual is also meant as the participation of Sipai people in forming and developing local culture of Bengkulu.

The Process of Throwing Tabot (Tabuik) To The Sea (Pariaman, West Sumatra). The socio-cultural condition of people seem to be also the reason of appearing the difference in the way of performing the Tabot ritual. In Bengkulu, for instance, the number of Tabot is 17 which referes to the number of person in earlier family performing Tabot; but in Pariaman is only two sorts of Tabot (Tabuik), tabuik Subarang and Tabuik Pasa. The place of throwing Tabot (Tabuik) is different between both, Bengkulu and Pariaman. At the beginning, Tabot of Bengkulu is thrown in marsh located at around the place Imam Senggolo or Syekh Burhanuddin is burried.

Recently, a lot of criticism from various society elements due to the implementation of the Tabot ceremony. The very basic criticism is the changing of the Tabot ceremony function from the ritual activity that has a religious nuance to become simply a cultural festival. This likely because of fact that people performing the Tabot ceremony are non-Syiah. Well, that is all about Tabot as a great and amazing tradition in Bengkulu my beautiful city. Dendam Tak Sudah (Bengkulu)

The name of " Dendam Tak Sudah lake" taken based on the story of young people who tied the knot as lively as dead. However, their love story is hindered by the girl's parents do not approve of their relationship. The girl was engaged, but he can not turn away. Then they decided to commit suicide together by way of turn themselves into the lake. It is said that since the incident at the lake there are two big leeches were considered as the incarnation of the couple. More to the point is about 6 km from the center of the city of Bengkulu. Lake area of 577 hectares, it is said that there is a volcano. In the nature reserve is also a pencil orchid plants, orchid sun, daffodils, palm, island, swamp Ambacang, stretched, plawi, brosong, sunk, ferns, and sikeduduk. It should be recognized that the orchid pencil believed to only grow in this region. In addition to flora, fauna in this place there are also rare.
